It was a hot, summer day in Northern California in 2006, and I was digging fence post holes on a farm. For the 5th day in a row.
My back and hands were numb with pain. Every movement took energy I no longer had.
As I slammed the red post hole digger into the dry ground for the 347th time that day, I smashed into something hard, something immovable…only, it wasn’t in the ground. It was in my heart.
I needed to make a massive change around how I made money, because my body wasn’t going take digging post holes any longer.
Not long after that day, I started learning as much as I could about how to build online businesses that sell information products and training.
From what I could see, it was a brilliant way to make a good amount of money, and it could be done while sitting down. (I can’t tell you how badly I longed for work I could do while sitting, using my mind instead of my muscles.)
My name is Forest Linden, and since the day I stopped digging fence post holes, I’ve built three multiple six-figure online businesses that sell knowledge, help, and training. (The most recent one, prior to Clarity Lab, was one I ran with my wife, Bari Tessler Linden, called The Art of Money, which is growing strong now and has a full team of amazing people running the show.)
Along the way, I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs filter out the cacophony of noise on the internet to find clarity for their business journey around:
- What software to use for their specific business.
- What marketing strategies and tactics to employ.
- How to build an online business that supports their lifestyle while they make a positive impact in the world.
That’s why I do what I do on this site.
To cut through the noise in the technology and online business space.
To help you make decisions faster so you can get on with the work you want to do.
To make the path ahead clear so you can make more money and change more lives.
Forging an online business that sells knowledge, help, and training is the best way I know of to take control of your life and finances while you make a dent in the universe.
But here’s the deal: it’s not easy. There are no shortcuts. It takes time. And planning. And hard work. And sometimes long, long days and weeks with no breaks on the couch to watch Game of Thrones.
The path may not be easy, but that doesn’t mean that the HARD can’t be made EASIER.
That’s why Clarity Lab exists. To make things easier for you.
The dream of an online business that allows you to uplevel your lifestyle is totally possible, but the hard stuff stops many people before their dreams are realized. That’s incredibly sad to me, and I’m doing something about it.
There are so many apps to choose from, so many marketing strategies, so many ways to grow your business.
But who has time to endlessly research and learn and compare and test and sift through the noise that’s on the web to find the best software and strategies for growing a business?
If you’re like most people who want to build something like this, you want to focus on doing the things that make you come alive (and get paid well for doing them.)
And those things? Are probably not figuring out which membership site software to use, or which email list building strategy you should put on your homepage, or how the hell you’re going to process payments on your website so you can sell things.
You want to do what you want to do, which is probably something more like helping your client John gain the confidence to finally ask the woman he’s fallen in love with out on a date.
Here at Clarity Lab, we research and experiment until we find clarity, and then we share the results with entrepreneurs like you.
So you can do less of what you don’t want, and more of what makes your heart sing.
So you can brighten the world by helping people and getting paid well for doing it.
So you can enjoy life not just a little more, but A LOT more.
Because the world needs your gifts now, and it’s not going to get them if you keep digging fence post holes.
With gratitude and fire,
I’m Forest Linden. Papa, husband, and entrepreneur. Cyclist, amateur photographer, and lover of mochas. Buddhist, wordsmith in training. Thank you, honestly, for stopping by our site and spending a little time here. May you find something useful on these pages to help you in some way with whatever you’re working on.
